My poem tells of many different shapes of stone which go into the building of Houses, Churches, Garden Walls, and Arches, to name but a few. All depend on the main ‘Keystone’ or ‘Corner stone. If you remove the ‘Key stone’ or ‘Cornerstone’ the Arch will fall!
Use us Lord, to build your church, Your church upon the rock. That we may serve you as we are, in shape, in size, in stock.
You have a purpose in your church, for us to undertake. A special task, to build an arch for others a road to take.
Your church, your Arch, of living stone Is precious in His sight. Rejected by the builder but, excepted by your might.
By your Grace Lord, hold us together our Keystone in times of strife. Without you, we would move and crumble. Come, Lord Jesus, control our life.
